New Pets
My children have always talked of having pets and each time the discussion arises, I say no. So, while in Utah the boys dubbed the snails outside as their pets, in Columbus it was the worms. Well here in Guam, we have these.
The best thing about these pets, they not only live outside, but inside too! With the exception of the occassional tail loss as documented above, no lizards (perhaps geckos) are harmed in our home.
How does the lizard stay so still, please look closely
It’s on a leash! All thanks to a strand of hair from my head and Stan’s creativity.
Please no worries, we take good care of our pets as they keep coming back for more quality time with us. I think they may even share the word with their friends.

LOL, I was wondering what that was. I am so impressed. Best pet ever! :0)
That’s a riot. So glad they are enjoying them. I had never seen a gecko with antennas…a leash, very creative! Never would have occured to me.
I love the leash. I was wondering what kind of lizards have weird antennae sticking out of their necks. Way to be creative.
Where do you come up with this stuff? Who knows but it keeps me coming back for me. I was laughing so hard about the lizard on the leash. I told Dan about it first thing this morning (I read your post about 4am, one of the joys of being a new mother). You Kimball people are so creative. I’m sure my children would love to have a potato bug on a leash. Any ideas? Keep the posts coming. By the way, how much longer until #4 arrives. Best of luck.
@jaclynethomas - I just roll my eyes at my husband, Jaclyn. He’s the bigger child I’m sure! 3 more weeks till D-Day and I’ll be joining you reading blogs at 4 a.m.
Oh Lynnsey that it too funny! I guess one of the many things you’ll find yourself doing with boys! And that picture above with all the boys in the prospective corners was a riot. Guess you’ll have to find one more corner for when boy #4 comes along! Sure miss ya and hope you are doing well!
Love ya girl!
